Waza Iti: Self Defense against the Collar Grab

1                    Focus forward. Step with the left into a Horse Stance, execute a left palm block.

2                    Maintain focus. Bring the left foot to the right foot, bring hands to the hips.

3                    Maintain focus. Step with the right into a Horse Stance, execute a right palm block.

4                    Maintain focus. Bring the right foot to the left foot, bring hands to the hips.

5                    Maintain focus. Travel forward into a right front stance, execute double rising breaks.

6                    Maintain focus. Brings hands to the hips.

7                    Maintain focus. Travel forward into a left front stance, execute double rising breaks.

8                    Maintain focus. Brings hands to the hips.

9                    Maintain focus. Travel in reverse into a right front stance, execute double rising breaks. KIAI.

10                To return to the ready position, maintain focus, bring the right leg back to the left leg and then out to a ready position.

 

Waza Ni: Self Defense against the Choke

1                    Focus left, turn 90 degrees into a left front stance, bring hands to the hips.

2                    Maintain focus, reach forward with both hands and trap at the wrist.

3                    Maintain focus, travel in reverse into a right front stance, pull trap to your Ki.

4                    Maintain focus and stance, bring your hands to your hips.

5                    Maintain focus and stance, execute a downward scoop with the right, trap with the left.

6                    Focus right, turn 180 degrees into a right front stance, alternate your elbows.

7                    Maintain focus and stance, bring hands to hips.

8                    Maintain focus and stance, reach forward with both hands and trap at the wrist.

9                    Maintain focus, travel in reverse into a left front stance, pull trap to your Ki.

10                Maintain focus and stance, bring your hands to your hips.

11                Maintain focus and stance, execute a downward scoop with the left, trap with the right.

12                Focus left, turn 180 degrees into a left front stance, alternate your elbows. KIAI

13                To return to the ready position, focus 90 degrees to the right, bring the right foot back to the left foot and then to a ready position.

 

Waza San: Self Defense against the Wrist Grab

1                    Maintain ready position, focus 90 degrees to the left.

2                    Maintain focus, step back with the left leg into a right fighting stance, execute a left backarm block / right down block.

3                    Maintain focus and stance, bring left hand to the hip while right hand executes a trap.

4                    Maintain focus, travel forward into a left side horse stance, execute a left elbow strike.

5                    Focus right 180 degrees.

6                    Maintain focus, step back with the right leg into a left fighting stance, execute a right backarm block / left down block.

7                    Maintain focus and stance, bring right hand to the hip while left hand executes a trap.

8                    Maintain focus, travel forward into a right side horse stance, execute a right elbow strike. KIAI

9                    To return to the ready position, focus 90 degrees left towards the front, bring the left foot to the right foot and then to a ready position.

 

Waza Si: Self Defense against the Front Punch and Reverse Punch

1                    Maintain focus, travel forward with the left leg into a left front stance, execute a left cover block.

2                    Maintain focus, travel forward with the right leg into a right front stance, execute a right cover block.

3                    Focus left, turn 90 degrees into a left front stance, execute a left cover block followed by a downward reverse punch.

4                    Focus right, turn 180 degrees into a right front stance, execute a right cover block followed by a downward reverse punch.

5                    Focus left, turn 90 degrees into a left front stance, execute a left swordhand block.

6                    Maintain focus, travel forward with the right leg into a right front stance, execute a right swordhand block.

7                    Focus left, turn 90 degrees into a left front stance, execute a left swordhand block followed by a rising reverse punch.

8                    Focus right, turn 180 degrees into a right front stance, execute a right swordhand block followed by a rising reverse punch. KIAI

9                    To return to the ready position, focus 90 degrees left towards the front, bring the left leg back to the right leg, then to a ready position.

 

Waza Go: Self Defense against the Round Punch / Hair Grab

1                    Focus 90 degrees to the left, moving the left leg enter a left balanced stance, bring hands to hips.

2                    Maintain focus, travel forward into a right front stance, execute a right rising front punch.

3                    Focus 180 degrees to the right, moving the right leg enter a right balanced stance, bring hands to hips.

4                    Maintain focus, travel forward into a left front stance, execute a left rising front punch.

5                    Focus 90 degrees left, turn into a left front stance, execute a left extended rising block.

6                    Maintain focus and stance, with the left arm, execute a circular trap.

7                    Focus left, turn 180 degrees into a left front stance, bring hands to the hips.

8                    Maintain focus, travel forward into a right front stance, execute a right extended rising block.

7                    Maintain focus and stance, execute a rear leg front kick.

8                    Focus right, turn 180 degrees into a right front stance, in a swinging motion bring hands to hips.

4                    Maintain focus and stance, execute simultaneous center punch followed by double rear strikes to the ribs.

5                    Maintain focus, right foot steps forward into a crossed stance.

6                    Focus left, turn 180 degrees into a left back stance, execute a forearm block.

7                    Maintain focus, elongate stance, execute a rising reverse punch.

8                    Maintain focus, bring right foot to left foot, enter a rest position.

9                    Maintain focus, travel forward into a right front stance, execute double rising blocks.

10                Maintain focus, bring left foot up to right, execute double shuto strikes.

11                Maintain stance, focus 180 degrees to the right, execute a right downward scoop to the rear.

6                    Focus left, turn body 180 degrees into a left front stance, bring hands to the hips.

7                    Maintain focus, travel forward with the right foot to the left foot then to a horse stance, execute double downward strikes to the side.

8                    Focus right, turn 180 degrees into a right side horse stance by bringing right foot to the left foot then to the stance, execute a right elbow strike.

9                    Maintain stance, focus 90 degrees left, bring hands to hips.
